Ramble-y Post About Video Games That Started Off Coherent

I need your help with something! I want to figure out the best way to enjoy playing video games better.

Let me be clear in saying that I still love video games. It’s just that between work, writing, and college, it’s hard to commit to hours of gaming. With the exception of Pikmin 3, maybe. And relatively speaking it’s just not as fun if you don’t.

Back in high school I wasn’t a part of any extracurricular programs or anything. So after class if I had no homework I was free to roam in whatever fantasy world I wanted to my heart’s content. Normally I would cycle through 2 or 3 RPG’s for weeks. It was a good time.

But if I’m being honest I didn’t really have anything I was truly passionate about, you know?

Anyway fast-forward three years and I’m in university. Doing work I enjoy almost everyday. Except now the only time I really play video games is when I specifically set aside some time for it or when I need a break and want to unwind. Maybe I’m playing the wrong kinds of games? I’m starting to think that I’m just not the kind of person who can play an RPG in hourly increments. You know what game was fun though? Pikmin 3.

So I guess what I’m trying to say is if there are any games that fit my schedule better let me know.

Wait no. What I’m actually trying to say is I miss Pikmin 3.
